Dear Serve The City signups, We are urgently looking for volunteers to help prepare meals for the homeless in Geneva. In recent months we have seen a sharp increase in people taking to the streets as a result of Covid 19. We are therefore looking for volunteers to help on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in September to assist in preparing meals for the homeless. We have a very skilled chef who will guide you in the role. Experience is not required and you will mainly be chopping and prepping some wonderful take-away meals. The kitchen is located in Geneva Old town at Hotel Bel Esperance and the hours of work are roughly 0930 to 1400. We also are looking for drivers on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in September, who can use their own cars to deliver food to four different locations in central Geneva. We would need you to be at the kitchen at 0930 to load the food into your car. It should take no more than 1 hour to drop off the meals. If you think you could help with either role please do signup on the website. We are still looking for a shopping helper at the La Maison de Tara in Chêne-Bougeries. This convalescent home who would greatly appreciate help with weekly shopping. The project involves just assisting in transporting the purchased goods from store to kitchen. Once again do signup on our STC website. Kind Regards, The Serve The City Team ..ps Thursday & Friday mornings with Partage we are still filling Food distribution bags.
